Project: Renovation of production facilities and renewal of pre-processing
Rakenneasennus carried out a large-scale steel structure project at Valio’s Suonenjoki factory as part of the renovation of production facilities and renewal of pre-processing. Rakennusliike Konttinen Oy acted as the main contractor on the site.
The contract included extensive steel construction work, such as the manufacture, installation, and surface treatment of new structures, ensuring that the renovated facilities meet modern production requirements.
The contract included, among other things:
- Hot-dip galvanized steel stairs
- Hot-dip galvanized platforms
- Exterior wall frames
- IV machine bases
- Stainless steel partition walls and fire door frames
- Stainless steel stairs and platforms
- Stainless steel lifting beams
- A special feature was the stainless steel pillars made of RHS 250x250x6 profiles, which were manufactured by laser welding two chamfered U-profiles, as such a large profile was not available from steel mills.
