High quality coatings for all needs
We offer a wide range of surface treatment services that guarantee the durability and longevity of steel structures. Surface treatment affects the color, gloss, hardness, strength, friction, wear resistance, electrical conductivity, and chemical and corrosion resistance of the steel surface. The appropriate surface treatment is always selected based on the material being treated and the stresses present in the application.
Shower cleaning
- An environmentally friendly and effective way to clean steel before coating.
- Improves coating adhesion and extends the life of the structure.
- We use steel granules and aluminium oxide to effectively remove contaminants.
Wide range of structures to be painted
Many factors affect the success of wet painting, especially the conditions prevailing at the time of coating. High-quality coating improves the durability and service life of steel structures even in demanding environments. We paint a wide range of structures, such as:
- Railings, treatment platforms and steel frames
- Tanks and infrastructure structures
- Machine parts and industrial structures
- Works of art as special applications
- Most challenging structures for mining and marine environments
Wet painting – High quality surface treatment for demanding applications
High-quality results for demanding applications
The quality of wet painting is influenced by standards, painting systems and the requirements of the structure’s application. We are familiar with the different coating systems, having finished steel structures, for example:
- Railway bridges
- Maritime signs
- Waste water treatment plant structures
- Industrial structures
- Large structures and demanding surface treatment needs
Large structures and demanding surface treatment requirements
We paint structures exposed to both atmospheric and immersion stress. Our paint shop can handle structures measuring up to 9 m x 9 m x 50 m (taking transport restrictions into account). Growing demand for pre-finished structures – customers get manufacturing, surface treatment, and installation all from the same place.
The benefits of a comprehensive service for the customer
- Better project management – we take surface finishing and installation schedules into account at the manufacturing stage
- Flexibility to project changes – we react quickly to changing needs
- Less logistics costs and transport damage – no need to move structures to different locations for surface finishing
- Easy documentation – all project plans, documents and protocols in one place
Fireproofing painting – Safety and durability
Fire protection coating improves the fire resistance of steel structures, slowing down the rise in temperature and enabling safer evacuation in the event of a fire. We offer a comprehensive fire protection coating service that covers design, implementation, and installation.
Certified professionals only
- Fire protection painting can only be carried out by a qualified painter
- The inspection is carried out by a qualified fire protection painting inspector (qualification issued by the Teräsrakenneyhdistys ry)
The importance of fire protection painting
Unprotected steel reaches the critical temperature of 450-600°C in just 10-30 minutes, resulting in a loss of strength. Fire retardant paint expands up to 40-60 times, forming an insulating layer around the steel structure. 1 mm of film can expand up to 50 mm, giving a fire life of 30-60 minutes. Long-term durability – Properly applied, the fire retardant paint will last 10-25 years without significant loss of performance.
Consideration of installation and transport
Fire-proof painted structures must be protected from water, condensation and dirt during transport and storage. Suitable conditions must be ensured during installation, especially at welded joints. Our dedicated installation team will ensure safe and correct installation of painted structures. Welded areas are cleaned and patched immediately after installation.
Why choose fireproofing?
- Protects steel structures from fire – slows temperature rise and improves structural durability
- Protects evacuation and reduces property damage
- Extensions the service life of structures
Hot-dip galvanising – durable corrosion protection
Hot-dip galvanizing is an effective solution for protecting steel structures against corrosion, especially in outdoor applications. The process creates a durable and long-lasting protective layer that protects structures even in demanding conditions.
Combined surface treatment solutions
We use hot dip galvanising seamlessly with other surface treatments, such as:
- Wet painting
- Fireproofing
This combination provides the perfect protection for your structures, ensuring both durability and a beautiful finish.
Whether it’s an infrastructure project, industrial structures or structures that can withstand the rigours of the outdoors, hot dip galvanising ensures reliable corrosion protection.
