Project: Replacement of the steel frame of the railway bridge at Hillosensalmi
The old railway bridge at Hillosensalmi no longer met current load-bearing requirements, and its structure forced trains to slow down when crossing the bridge.
Key implementations:
We manufactured, painted, and installed a new steel frame for the railway bridge. The bridge frame was manufactured in our machine shop as a single assembly:
- Weight 41 t
- Length 20.5 m
- Width 5 m
- Surface treatment was carried out in accordance with the LIVI A1 standard
- We were responsible for delivering the finished frame to the site
- We welded supports to the old bridge for lifting
- The new bridge was lifted into place and attached to the bearing plates
- We manufactured and installed the bridge’s 86-meter maintenance walkways with railings
